Dr. Amar Oza is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology and holds an additional certification as a musculoskeletal ultrasound expert through the American College of Rheumatology’s Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Certification in Rheumatology – RhMSUS™ program.
Originally from Ohio, Dr. Oza attended college and medical school in Evanston, Illinois at Northwestern University, where he completed the Honors Program in Medical Education. After medical school, Dr. Oza completed his residency at Brown University (Rhode Island Hospital) in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Oza then completed a fellowship in Rheumatology at Harvard University, practicing at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
Through training and clinical practice, Dr. Oza has been active academically in a number of clinical publications focusing on inflammatory joint disease. Dr. Oza presented his findings in a Plenary Session at the American College of Rheumatology’s Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. Dr. Oza has also studied both diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound techniques in the competitive nationwide USSONAR program.
Dr. Oza left Massachusetts General Hospital to come to Buffalo with his wife and young children. Outside of the office, Dr. Oza loves having fun with his two boys and enjoying all that Western New York has to offer.
